Detective Saru Keiji has seen things that would make a god flinch. A career's worth of crime scenes, double-crossings, and things that shouldn't exist but stubbornly do. Now the city's nine elemental factions are at war — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space, Time, Spirit, Void, and something with no name yet — and bodies are turning up with signatures that don't belong to any of them.

Kyūzai (秘事) — classified matters. The kind that get people killed for knowing them. Saru is about to know all of them.
